Urban Politics and Public Policy

Research on city politics, by and large, ignores policy dynamics and the relationship between ideas and urban decision-makers. This research agenda illustrates that contemporary urban politics reflects cross-national political forces, urban policy problem definitions and the availability and viability of solutions, the popularity (and pliability) of the governing regime's policy perspective, and the institutional venue in which city problems are vetted.
