Coursework

The Fellows program is a year long undergraduate experience in political science research. Fellows conduct an original research project which is formally presented at the end of the term and assist in the development of the Policy Agendas Project.

Students and faculty are encouraged to utilize the below materials in their studies of the research process, public policy, and political science more generally.

  • Workshops
These workshops were designed to give students a basic overview of the research process. Topics covered include research design, quantitative methods, and library research. Hands-on exercises are provided with sample data.

  • Past Fellows Projects
Examples of research projects fellows design and implement are displayed here. Our fellows explore a range of topics related to American politics, from the role of public opinion in Supreme Court decisions to congressional voting patterns on social welfare policy.

  • Course Readings
This page contains a collection of readings used to familiarize students with the program methodology and provide them with the skills necessary to conduct their own research projects.
